Aside from the fact that most people lost important family members and friends to the deadly virus, the world also lost some icons in the past year, and as sad as that is, we just have to move on with life. 2020 was a year filled with so many painful deaths that we hope to get over. It is still fresh in our hearts.
This article will list a few icons whom the world lost last year, either due to the virus or any other cause. We hope we don’t have to suffer the same fate any time soon. Everyone indeed dies in the end; however, no one hopes their loved ones or favorite celebrities will die tragically.
Celebrities who died in 2020
Below is a list of some of the celebrities who died in 2020, both as a result of the coronavirus and other causes.
1. Dawn wells
Dawn wells died from the covid 19 on the 30th of December. She is famous for her role in Gilligan’s Island. She died at the age of 82. She will be dearly missed.
2. Dame Barbara Windsor
Dame died at the age of 81 on the 11th of December. She is known for her roles in “Carry On” and “East Enders.” She is also a big name in the LGBT community. This one made a lot of impacts and will be missed.
3. David Prowse
Darth Vader may never be acted better by anybody else as David passes on. He has been a major contributor to the Star Wars movie and the trilogy in particular. David passed on on the 28th of November at the age of 85. Old as he may be, it is a tragedy all the same.
4. Doug Supernau
Doug died at the age of 60 on the 13th of November after battling lung and bladder cancer. He is one of the world’s finest musicians and will be dearly missed.
5. Chadwick Boseman
The king of Wakanda will be dearly missed as the world lost an icon after a four year battle with colon cancer. Boseman is said to have given some subtle hints about his death in several interviews. He was dragged on the internet for looking sickly despite the money he has, little did the world know he was silently battling for his life.
6. Ruth Bader Ginsburg
The woman who had a whole movie made about her died on the 18th of September from pancreatic cancer. The movie “On the basis of sex” was made in her honor for being one of the leading pioneers of women’s rights. She appeared at the end of that movie and that was the last we saw of her on-screen. She will be missed.
Many more celebrities lost their lives in the past year and the world will miss them but must also go on. It is important to cherish our celebrities and stars because we never know when the last time we will see them will be.
