Sacred Blue is a clean two-column and widget-ready theme sporting a bright color scheme. It comes with an options page where you can customize various features of the theme like the Ads, Navigation menu items etc..

Installation :

  1. Just unzip the contents of the zip file to wp-content/themes.
  2. Then, activate the theme from your admin panel.

Customizable Settings:

As mentioned above, this theme comes with an options page where you can customize certain settings. So, some notes about these :

Ad Positions :

The theme comes with 3 inbuilt ad positions.

  1. Header – To the top right – Strictly 468×60 or smaller ad
  2. After the first post on the homepage
  3. After the post (above the comments) on post view pages

To insert these ads, just enter the appropriate ad code in the corresponding boxes in "Current Theme Options" page.

 

RSS Feed Link :

An effective way to convert your visitors into RSS readers is to place your Feed link after the posts. Sacred Blue has inbuilt support for this. In the options page, just enter the text you wish to show along with the Feed URL. Sample code :

My Blog Log Widget :

Along the footer of the blog, you can display the profile images (with links) of your MyBlogLog visitors. To do this, you just need to enter your MyBlogLog ID. Here’s how to find it :

  1. Login to your MyBlogLog account.
  2. Go to the community page for your blog (example).
  3. Click on the "Settings" link.
  4. The URL will be something like : http://www.mybloglog.com/buzz/edit_comm.php?id=2007051721175175
  5. The part shown in bold is your MyBlogLog ID.

 

Blog Display Name :

This is the name that will be displayed on the blog header. Make sure it suits the header size. If you wish to use a graphic header, simply leave this blank and instead edit the h_01.jpg in the theme’s image directory.

 

Navigation Links :

You may not always want to display all your pages in your blog’s navigation menu. So, here you can enter the URL to show on the navigation menu along with their Link texts. There are two positions (left and right) in the menu.
