I’m a strong believer of the words “Code is Poetry”. I enjoy coding. Hope i get some good tasks soon…

When i was younger i was thinking in the same way, that “Code is poetry”, but now it’s just a work :(

Hmm… U make a good point Nick.. Hope it doesn’t turn out for me that way !

Hahaha, yeah Nick you are 100% right. While it was hobby it was nice, but when I started to work it pro. and work with “people” I’ve lost my enthusiasm.

Yeah Nick, I am also like programming and coding. I am learning it’s through try and error. I am enjoying to do so.

Yes. It would be a nice post. You could tell us some tips and tricks!

Mehmet  -  June 6th, 2008 at 1:25 pm  -  #7

Eat, Sleep, Code! The code drives me crazy sometimes but that’s when I go walk the dog. My problem is that whenever I get halfway through a project there’s something new or something else that craves my attention and I get sidetracked.

Coding is fun when I do it for me and notsomeone else.

I hope you can maintain that viewpoint of ‘code is poetry’ after years in the workforce. I have friends who have used guru.com as a resource for their coding projects. It allows them the opportunity to maintain some independence, yet still earn a living. I’ve wanted to use it for my writing, but I’m not sure I have the credentials to get noticed.

Good luck!

Haha yeah it did tend to wear me down as well after about 10 years of it. There are sparks of great feelings at times when discovering new ways of doing things through code. I hope you continue to find enjoyment in it!

seo is also poetry

mike  -  October 14th, 2008 at 3:56 pm  -  #18

Code may be poetic but I don’t know if that equates to Poetry.
I also find it quite relaxing – taht probably because I spend all day SEOing other peoples sites

Code is only poetry when it works, which in my experience is not very often!

Jordans  -  October 15th, 2008 at 1:34 am  -  #20

Hey, I just read that you can do PHP as well. How much would you charge for a basic website kind of like a youtube clone. I already paid for a script I just can’t find any one that can make the tweaks for me.

seo is not poetry, its far from it..

congrat, nice to meet you, happy coding

Akon Freedom  -  November 17th, 2008 at 1:11 pm  -  #25

Nice to see that you have a relaxed approach to coding. It can certainly be poetry at some times. But do remember that it can sometimes be a real pain in the ***. :)

Gabriel  -  December 17th, 2008 at 5:38 am  -  #26

Hari  -  December 17th, 2008 at 2:44 pm  -  #27
