Today morning, i received two emails from Twitter. I was quite surprised to see them. I rarely use twitter. You can tell it easily by looking at my tweets. But, today two persons of high repute started following me. The first is Darren Rowse from ProBlogger and the other is Patrick Altoft from BlogStorm. Though i’m excited, i’d like to know the source… From where did i get these two followers ? I don’t have a link to my Twitter page from this blog. Neither i use Twitter often. So, any idea how i can find this out ?

My story is a bit different – I just joined twitter and it grabbed all my Gmail contacts and you must be one of them.:)
Wow Darren would never vist my blog in a million years (www.techjuicer.com shameless plug). I have been on his loads of times. With his blog so popular it is really nice to seem him out and about on other blogs. Not that I would expect him to be sitting on his own blog twidling his thumbs!
Would you recommend Twitter? It has never appealed to me. The closest I have got is Pownce, which some say is microbloggin but I like Leah Culvers term “social messaging”! pownce.com/olliedude2k if you have an account too!

When it comes to Twitter I have to plead ‘I don’t get it’. I’ve used it sporadically and I have to be honest, I find it to be nothing but a time waster. There are much better ways to get to know people online, there are much better sources for news and just about everything else. There’s nothing particularly special about it.. So I’ve stopped using it altogether. I put a bit in but go nothing out. Not a good investment.

What is Twitter?
Thanks:) Now I started to understand what u where writing about:)
One way to know is to spot-check a handful of the new followers to see how many people they are following.
I’ve gotten some followers recently who are following 6,000 or 8,000 people. That doesn’t seem like someone who’s hand-selecting the people they want to follow.
a Twitter directory where I could find out the top 100 followed people on Twitter. It reveals Ijustin (of Tasty Blog Snack), CNN and Techcrunch (of Techcrunch), Leolaporte (of Life of Leo) are topping the charts with 65535 followers each (the exact same number of followers, coincidence or is it a bug!). Maybe I should start following one of them and break the synchrony.
when will i be followed by darren :()
Not bad! Wouldn’t mind Darren following me over at Twitter, maybe he will… one day :P
I don’t find Twitter appealing at all. I don’t know why, I just don’t. However, for some reason more and more people I know are starting to implement it on their blogs. Maybe I should give it a try and hopefully someone famous will follow me on Twitter too… or once I become famous, I’ll follow someone and that someone will post about it on his / her blog :P
Hari,
Did you stop blogging here…this place has become a spam bin!
Cheers,

Twitter has been helping me in reaching more peopel easy to post message in it
Twitter is good place to communicate easily
twitter is nice place but it is very user friendly for 1st time user
Hmmm, I don’t know about the whole twitter thing. I feel like Facebook is already stalkerish by letting everyone know what you have done and whose page you have commented on so up the hour updates on what your doing. Eh. I know you can choose what you want to put but still.
Someone spammed your comment section, aren’t you noticing. Delete those comments. Yup, I am a new visitor and I am seeing some reasons to read the blog.
that sound great, you are lucky guy

how could you find out? I suggest writing a post using the names of those that you want to ask – they’ll find that :-)
If they did – they’d probably tell you that they noticed you were following them and wanted to see who you were so followed you back :-)
