Feevy – Dynamic Blogrolls

feevy.pngFeevy is a cool free service that allows you to add something called as Dynamic Blogroll. Hmm, that word might sound new to many. So, what is dynamic blogroll ? Your “Feevy” displays a small line from the latest post from your favorite blogs. Whenever a blog is updated, it jumps to the top of your list. That might sound complicated. Check out this image to get a better idea of what it is.

So, what can you do with your Feevy ?

  • Replace static, boring blogrolls with dynamic conte nt and transform your blog into a web portal for your network of friends
  • Build a vertical portal
  • Setup a community of blogs
  • Add to your feevy flickr tag results or Picasa Web Albums users (getting an updated thumbnail image of the last picture), your del.icio.us network last link or your twitter updates…

These need not be just blogs. You can add any RSS Feed as you like. While the idea sounds great, they might consider adding some more features to it. Like they would need to work on customization features. Currently they have three different themes. They did not have a demo on their site, so here is it. I have put them up here to show you.

The first two are mainly for blog sidebars, while the latter is for CSS customization. It automatically takes up the maximum width and also inherits the CSS properties of the page. It is good. But, as i said, they should consider allowing more customization options.

Overall, i would rate it 5/5 for the idea, but 3/5 for the way it was implemented.
