Multiple Social Posting Meets Video

onlywire.gifOnlyWire is a free service that allows you to post URLs to about 20 Social bookmarking services at once. I personally don’t use this service. But, this is an extremely useful service for those who use these bookmarking site for traffic. When seen from the other angle, anyone would use only one bookmarking website to manage his favorite links. So this site is practically useless for genuine users of del.icio.us, Furl and others.

heyspread.pngThis method of posting the same content to many sites at once has now hit videos. This time it serves a better and useful purpose. Hey!Spread is a service that allows you to upload your videos to multiple video sharing sites at once. Currently it supports YouTube, MySpace, Google Videos, Yahoo Videos, Daily Motion, Blip.tv, PhotoBucket, MetaCafe, Bolt and PutFile. The reason i call this a more useful service that OnlyWire is that, the primary purpose of websites like del.icio.us, Furl etc.. is to help users organize their favorite links and one place. But this is not the case with YouTube and others. They are used so that your video will have a wider audience.

Note : Multiple is always better. I, even own a website that allows you to search over 100 different video sharing sites. The website is VidSav.com. I’m planning to sell it. So, anyone interested can contact me.

Have you seen izimi (http://www.izimi.com). Its video hosting/sharing service is totally unlimited (any size, any quantity, any file type, any length), plus there is no need to upload your video up to ANY server, they just sit right there on your own PC. You just right click and izimi instantly gives you a URL, link code and embed code which you use just like you were using youtube, revver, metacafe, etc, etc to embed the vids. You can literally do hundreds of videos in a few seconds. You have to get a bit smart about the format, i.e. make them into small sizes (best also if you convert them to flash video so they stream), but it’s a neat alternative if you want no limits and instant sharing. There are some users who use YouTube, Revver, MC, etc to upload trailers/teasers, but make the full length stuff available via izimi.
