Green Bug – New Theme

This is my second theme release this week and you can expect more from me in the coming days. This is one is a light colored one built with Green as its main color. This theme is called Green Bug.

Green Bug is a pleasant-looking theme.. It is a two column theme with a widgetized sidebar. It means that this will work with the Sidebar Widgets plugin. Theme has been tested on WordPress 2.1 and 2.2

I like this theme, I think it is cool. I am trying to get the sidebar to the right, but somehow simple tweaking of the style.css file isn’t helping. Do you have an easy solution?
Thanks

Yes, there is an easy way to do this…
Open header.php and find <?php get_sidebar(); ?>
Remove it from there.
Paste it in the footer.php below the first </div>

Lovely theme.

Why does “Categories” appear twice in the sidebar ?

Line 129 of style.css shows “botder: 0;”, should it be “border: 0;” ?

Oh… and it doesn’t “Validate” ?

Actually the validation may be a problem at my end as your live demo validates OK. I can’t figure out where “line 10″ is though :-(

Oh ! Why do you want to find the “Line 10″ ?
And yes, in style.css is should be “border: 0;”

Hi Hari,

Thanks. I’m looking for line 10 because the error message from the validator says “Sorry, I am unable to validate this document because on line 10 it contained one or more bytes that I cannot interpret as utf-8 (in other words, the bytes found are not valid values in the specified Character Encoding). Please check both the content of the file and the character encoding indication. The error was: utf8 “\x96″ does not map to Unicode”

As I said, it could be at my end because the test one on your website link validates ok.

I’ve also noticed a “/” missing from the hyperlink to wordpress.org in the footer.

Apart from that I think this is an absolutely splendid theme and it suits my needs and style prefectly.

Love the theme, but there’s no RSS/Atom feed?

This is a great theme, and very well suited for my blog. My only question is: how do I create more vertical space between two paragraphs? Right now this is the same as the line spacing inside a paragraph (the front page of my blog will give you an example). I could not find anything in the style.css file that I can change to do this. Is there a simple way to do this?
Thanks.

Thanks for excellent theme. Suits our needs perfectly! Just one thing though, is it possible to have parent pages/sub pages to display on the top navigation?

I am using the latest version of WordPress. The temporary site is here http://mk.prieurdp.net. For instance under the Friends header we want various sub pages to list. I know you can do that on the sidebar but we would prefer to have it on the top navigation.

Thanks

How do I enable comments on individual pages for the Green Bug Theme, comments seem to be accessible for Posts but not Pages, even when I choose allow Comments on the Page settings.

I like this theme. It’s very nice and clean.

I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the good work. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.
