PowerCursor is a very creative application and website that i stumbled upon yesterday. PowerCursor is basically a Flash Toolkit with which you can create interfaces that you can touch.
Powercursor enables interaction designers to add a sense of feel to their Flash interfaces without difficult programming. The software engine consists of a set of tactile objects that can be added to any Flash project: Holes, Hills, Slopes, Roughs, Walls, Whirls, etc. that designers can use to create richer and more tactile interfaces.
I was amazed by what i experienced at the site. It was so realistic that i had the feel even after i left the websites.
They have lots of examples at their site, which are very cool. They say that it uses a principle called “Visually simulated force feedback”. A PDF document called “What you see is what you feel” is available for download, which outlines what “Visually simulated force feedback” is.
