I came across an animated version of Google.com today. It is the Korean version of Google. To tell the truth, it is really really cool. Especially, i love the rollovers at the bottom of the screen.

But i wonder why the page has a PR of ZERO. Most of the other country versions of Google like Australia, India, Samoa, UK, Canada etc.. have a PR ranging from 8-10. Thats makes me wonder if this is really google’s homepage or an illegal RIP off google. But Greg at Search Engine Land points out that it is really Google’s page.

Anyway, congrats to google for such cool new homepage. I hope, all other google’s homepages be updated to this version soon too.

Today, i noticed that there was a small problem with the theme demo links. It was working only for users who have registered at the demo site. So, i removed that plugin and installed this one.

I’ve also made some more posts on the demo site to demonstrate the complete look. You may experience some problems while posting comments. That is nothing to do with the themes. Thats due to the plugin i installed. I will soon find a way to fix it. Meanwhile if you encounter any problems, do let me know.

This is my second theme release this week and you can expect more from me in the coming days. This is one is a light colored one built with Green as its main color. This theme is called Green Bug.

Green Bug is a pleasant-looking theme.. It is a two column theme with a widgetized sidebar. It means that this will work with the Sidebar Widgets plugin. Theme has been tested on Wordpress 2.1 and 2.2

Today, i came to know about Microsoft’s new Surface computers. I was simply amazed at what those tea tables (?) could do. Looks like PopularMechanics were invited to take the first look at this product. And here’s the awesome video :

What did you like in that ? I really liked the way he transfered the photo from the digital camera to the phone. Wish i had a surface computer too. And here is a video of Jeff Han demonstration this multi-touch technology :

I really can’t resist imagining what the world would be in 10 years from here.

Yesterday, i posted about a new theme release and today its here. Brown Rush Wordpress theme has been released. This is my first WP theme. So please bear with me if there are any errors. If you come across any error, shoot me an email and i will make sure that i fix it as soon as possible.

Description

Brown Rush is a pretty dark theme with white backgrounds for everything. It is a two column theme with a widgetized sidebar. It means that this will work with the Sidebar Widgets plugin. Theme has been tested on Wordpress 2.1 and 2.2

With this new theme for GotChance, i have started to do some free theme for the wordpress users. Now, i am already near the finishing of my first WP theme for the public. I am calling it the “BrownRush” (only because it has a lot of Brown).

It is a widget ready theme now. I’m looking to add more features to it. So the theme would probably be released tomorrow or the day after. Here’s a small preview of the theme :

Few days ago, we covered DesktopTwo, webOS. It was using flash for all its features. There is another Web operating system called YouOS. Unlike its competitors, YouOS is completely powered by AJAX. It uses no Flash. It might be really useful for people who don’t have Flash player. Not just for them, considering some of the cool features, i would rate YouOS higher than DesktopTwo. YouOs gives a better feeling of using a real OS than DesktopTwo.

By default your OS will have about 12 apps. And they have a very huge list of 692 apps, from which you can add more to your OS. They even allow 3rd party to develop apps for the YouOS (I am planning to develop one :D). They many features of a standard operating system such as Changing wallpapers, Shortcuts and more…

What it mainly lack is the “right-click” feature. Without this, i feel the OS is incomplete. Besides that it is perfect. However, i’d really advise them to work more on the interface. It looks a lot like a 13 year old’d HTML page.

Its only in Alpha stage now. So its a great start. Once they get better and they are out of Alpha and Beta, i’m planning to make the move from Netvibes to YouOS.
